Tracking: links, domains and analytics
Tracking follows your traffic from A to Z: the link a fan clicks, the domain it lives on, the Telegram account he lands on, and what he buys. Open Tracking links under Tools, in the Chatting group of the sidebar.
The page #
- At the top, the creator filter: pick one creator, or All creators for the whole agency. It applies to every tab, and the page remembers your last choice.
- On the right, the main action of the tab you are on (New link, Add domain, Export CSV…).
- The tabs: Links, Domains, Analytics and Pixels & events. The load of each Telegram pool is in Telegram Accounts, tab Pool load.
Create a link #
- Open the Links tab and press New link.
- Link details:
- Link name, for you.
- Public link: pick the domain (only verified domains can be used; the default one is preselected), then the slug, the end of the link. The slug is generated from the name; it accepts lowercase letters, numbers and dashes, and must be unique. The full link is shown under the field.
- Traffic source: Instagram, TikTok, Snapchat, Meta, Google, Reddit, X, Other, or your own.
- Campaign (optional).
- Telegram destination: one precise account, or the creator's Telegram pool, which spreads new conversations across her accounts automatically. Only connected accounts with a username can be chosen.
- UTM parameters: source, medium and campaign are filled in from the traffic source and campaign. Change them if your ads team uses its own naming.
- Pixels (optional): connect a Meta, TikTok, Snap or Google Ads pixel to report conversions to your ads. Or press Create without pixels.
While something is missing, the create button stays grey; hover it to see what is missing. A wrong value (a slug already used, a pending domain) is explained in red at the bottom of the window.
Read the results #
The tiles above the table add up the links of the filter: Clicks, Conversations, Buyers and Revenue, with LTV per fan. The table gives the same numbers per link, with its destination and source. Search by URL, slug, name, source or destination. Over 10 links, choose 10, 25 or 50 rows per page.
To change a link, press the pencil: Save changes stays grey until you change something. If you try to leave with unsaved changes, the Console asks you to save or discard them first. Archive stops new clicks; existing attribution and revenue stay in your reports.
Note LTV uses first-touch attribution and verified Telegram Stars purchases: a fan belongs to the first link he clicked. Conversations without an intact link token stay unattributed.
Use your own domain #
The Domains tab lists the domains your links can use, with their status (Verified, Pending DNS or Error), their SSL certificate and how many active links use them. The star marks the default domain for new links.
- Press Add domain and type a subdomain you own, for example
go.youragency.com. A root domain such asyouragency.comcannot be used. - Add the two records shown at your DNS provider: a CNAME from your subdomain to
links.lanachat.app, and a TXT recordlanachat-verify=…that proves the domain is yours. Each line has a Copy button. - Press Check DNS. DNS changes can take a few minutes, sometimes up to 24 hours: press it again later, or use Verify again in the table. Once verified, the SSL certificate is issued automatically.
Tip A domain still used by active links cannot be removed: move those links to another domain first. The LanaChat domain is always available and cannot be removed.
Analytics #
Pick 7 days, 30 days or 90 days. The tab shows, for the creator filter:
- the totals of the period and the daily trend of clicks, conversations and buyers (hover a day, or use the arrow keys, to read it);
- the funnel: Clicks, Started conversation, First message, Buyer, with the rate of each step;
- clicks and revenue by source (Instagram, TikTok, Snapchat, Meta, X, Other);
- the top 10 links of the period, with their conversion rate, buyers, revenue and LTV.
Export CSV downloads the day-by-day numbers of every link of the filter.
Pixels #
A pixel can send Confirmed purchases, First Telegram message, or both. Its status reads Connected, Needs setup, Delivery failing or Not connected. Only new events after setup are sent, and messages, media and usernames are never sent.
