What is AI chatting on Telegram?
AI chatting on Telegram means an AI answers a creator's fans in private chats, from the creator's own Telegram account, through a bot connected with Telegram Business, in the creator's voice and in each fan's language. It sells locked photos and videos paid in Telegram Stars at the prices the agency sets, follows up with fans who go quiet, and lets the agency's team take over any conversation. With LanaChat it costs $19 per Telegram account per month plus a share of net sales, as of October 23, 2026.
Published by LanaChat, which works on Telegram only and does not connect to OnlyFans. Every figure on this page is dated, with its source at the end.

This guide is for agencies and creators who sell on Telegram and want to know what an AI chatter does before they connect one. It covers how the connection works, how the AI sells, who stays in control, what Telegram allows, what it costs and what it does not do.
What is an AI chatter, and what is it not?
An AI chatter is software that writes to fans for a creator. It reads each private message, answers in the creator's voice, offers paid content when the moment fits, and keeps every conversation where the team can read it. In LanaChat, the AI is called Lana, and an agency runs her for all its creators from one console.
AI chatting for creators on Telegram makes sense because the fans are already there. A creator's fans write to her account in private chats, Telegram lets a bot answer those chats for the account, and fans can pay in Telegram Stars without leaving the app. The AI takes the part a team cannot scale: answering every message, at any hour, in each fan's language.
An AI chatter is easy to confuse with two other things:
- It is not a public bot. Fans do not open a separate bot or a mini app: they write to the creator's usual account and get the reply in the same chat.
- It is not an AI companion app. Fans talk to a real creator's account, the persona follows the limits the creator sets, and the audience must be adults only.
The table below shows where an AI chatter sits between a simple auto-reply bot and a human chatter.
| AI chatter | Auto-reply bot | Human chatter | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Who writes | An AI, in the creator's voice | Messages written in advance | A person on the agency's team |
| Hours | Any hour, every day | Any hour, every day | The shifts the agency staffs |
| Languages | The language each fan writes in | The languages written in advance | The languages the chatter speaks |
| Selling | Offers locked media at the agency's prices | Sends links or menus | Sells and negotiates |
| Judgment | Follows the persona and the scripts | None | Full judgment |
| Delicate cases | Stops and alerts the team | Cannot tell them apart | Handles them with the agency's policy |
| How it is paid | With LanaChat, a licence per account and a share of sales | Depends on the tool | A wage or a commission set by the agency |
How does an AI chatter reply from the creator's own Telegram account?
An AI chatter works through Telegram's own business connection. Telegram lets an account connect a bot that processes and answers messages on its behalf. Telegram introduced this in March 2024 with Telegram Business, and its announcement names AI assistants that manage chats as one use. Telegram's developer documentation adds that connected bots are also available to accounts without Telegram Premium.
The setup takes three steps:
- The agency creates a bot with BotFather, Telegram's official tool for making bots, and turns on Secretary Mode, the new name of its business mode.
- In LanaChat, the account is connected with its @username and the token of that bot.
- On the creator's account, the bot is added under Settings, Telegram Business, Chat Automation, with the chats it may handle and the permissions it gets. To reply, it needs the permission to manage messages.
What matters is what is never shared. LanaChat never asks for the creator's phone number, password or login code. The account keeps its own login and two-step verification, the bot only gets the rights ticked on Telegram's screen, and the creator can remove it from the same screen.
One limit comes from Telegram, not from LanaChat. A business bot can only reply in private chats that had incoming messages in the last 24 hours, so a conversation that has been silent for longer needs a new message from the fan first.
The guide to connect a Telegram account shows every screen, from BotFather to Chat Automation.
How does the AI sell inside the conversation?
Selling happens in the chat, in the creator's voice. A typical sequence looks like this:
- The fan writes, and the AI answers within seconds, in his language.
- When the conversation allows it, the AI offers a free preview or a teaser, then a locked photo or video.
- The fan unlocks the media by paying in Telegram Stars, without leaving Telegram.
- If the fan goes quiet, the AI follows up later with the messages the agency planned.
The persona keeps the AI in character. It holds the creator's voice, her stories, her limits and what she never says, and the AI follows it in every conversation. A good persona is written by the agency with the creator, and tested before the AI talks to real fans.
Prices stay in the agency's hands. Each item in the creator's Vault has its price in Stars, and the AI sells at that price. Lana never invents a discount: she only uses the reduced prices written in the agency's scripts, and a discount ceiling from 0 to 60% in the AI Brain can cap them.
Telegram's rules for bots say that digital goods sold inside Telegram apps are paid in Telegram Stars. That is why the sale happens in Stars, in the chat. The money goes to the creator or the agency: LanaChat never receives or holds fan money, and its share is taken from the agency's prepaid balance.
Who stays in control, the AI or the team?
The agency does. Every conversation the AI holds is kept and readable, and the team can take over any conversation at any moment, then hand it back to the AI.
In practice:
- A teammate reads conversations live, as they happen, in the console's inbox.
- One click takes over a conversation: the AI pauses for that fan until the teammate hands it back.
- The AI can be paused on one account, switched off for a single conversation, or kept off for a creator who wants every message to stay manual.
- Roles decide which creators and conversations each person sees, and there is no per-seat fee.
- Auto-translate shows the fan's messages in English for reading only, so a chatter can follow every conversation without speaking every language. Replies stay exactly as the teammate wrote them.
A sale sent by a teammate is billed at a lower rate than a sale the AI makes, because the teammate did the selling work: 4%, 3% or 2% instead of 12%, 10% or 8%, as of October 23, 2026.
Live Convs is the Telegram CRM and live inbox where the team reads, replies and takes over.
Is AI chatting allowed, and is it safe for the Telegram account?
A bot connected through Telegram Business is a feature Telegram built for this use, not a workaround. The risks agencies worry about, a limited account or a lost login, come from three other things: spam, sending speed and shared logins.
Spam is the first. Telegram's spam FAQ explains that when users press Report spam, moderators review the messages, and the account can be limited for a while. A limited account can still reply to anyone who writes first. An AI chatter that only writes to fans who wrote to the creator first, and never contacts strangers, stays on the right side of that rule.
Sending speed is the second. LanaChat spaces out the sends of every Telegram account to an hourly ceiling of about 1,800 messages, and its Pool load view turns amber from 60% of that ceiling (slowed) and red from 80% (saturated), according to its public guides in October 2026.
Shared logins are the third. A tool that runs an account from its phone number and a login code holds a full session, with every right the creator has. A business bot holds only the permissions ticked in Telegram, and no login changes hands.
Minors are the line that never moves. LanaChat is for adults only: no one under 18 in any content, conversation or persona. When a fan appears to be under 18, seems to be in distress or asks to stop, the AI stops selling or stops talking to him, and the console flags him for the team. Paid content to a fan flagged as a minor is refused, whoever tries to send it.
A dedicated guide explains what the console does when a fan is a minor, in distress or asks to stop.
How much does AI chatting on Telegram cost?
With LanaChat, an agency pays a licence per Telegram account and a commission on net sales. These are the published prices as of October 23, 2026:
| Item | Price as of October 23, 2026 |
|---|---|
| Licence | $19 per Telegram account per month |
| Packs of licences | 10 for $170, 25 for $375, 50 for $650 |
| Commission on sales the AI makes | 12% up to $30,000 of monthly net sales, 10% up to $100,000, 8% above |
| Commission on sales a teammate sends | 4%, 3% or 2%, on the same monthly tiers |
| Seats, setup fee, contract | None |
| How the agency pays | A prepaid balance in USDT or USDC, minimum top-up $20 |
A net sale is what the fan paid, minus Telegram's share of Stars, processor fees and refunds. The tiers count the agency's total net sales for the month, all creators and accounts together, and reset on the 1st of each month.
An example from the pricing section: an agency whose AI sells $50,000 in a month pays $5,600 in commission, 11.2% all-in, plus its licences. Each new agency gets one free licence at sign-up, once per person, which runs one Telegram account for 30 days. Lana only replies while the prepaid balance is above $0, so a first top-up is needed to start.
LanaChat pricing, with a monthly estimator, is on the home page.

What AI chatting on Telegram does not do
An AI chatter is a sales tool with clear limits. Here are LanaChat's:
- It works on Telegram only. It does not connect to OnlyFans or other platforms.
- It does not write to strangers or to bought contact lists: it answers fans who wrote to the creator.
- It never touches fan money: payments go to the creator or the agency.
- It never invents a discount or a price.
- It does not bring traffic. Fans still find the creator's account through her links, ads and posts.
- It does not replace judgment in delicate conversations: those go to a person.
- It is not a way to deceive fans, and an agency should never claim that fans cannot tell it is an AI.
AI chatter or human chatters: what should an agency automate first?
An agency can keep both. The AI takes the volume, the first replies, the follow-ups and the night hours. People take the fans who are worth a long conversation, the pricing exceptions and anything delicate.
A sensible order to automate:
- Night and weekend coverage, the hours that are hardest to staff.
- First replies, where speed sets the tone.
- Follow-ups after a silence, which are repetitive and easy to forget.
- Repetitive questions about prices and content.
Top spenders, flagged fans and new offers under test are best kept with the team, at least at first.
Our article on AI chatter vs human chatters explains the split and what each side costs.
Which numbers should an agency track?
Three numbers show whether AI chatting works for an agency:
- Revenue per Telegram account and per traffic source, to see which links bring buyers.
- Paying fans compared with all the fans who wrote, to see how many conversations lead to a first purchase.
- Reply time, above all at night and on weekends.
LanaChat follows each new conversation from the first click on a tracking link to the last sale, per source and per creator.
Telegram link tracking shows clicks, conversations, buyers and revenue for each source.
Analytics compares revenue, fans and reply times with the period before.
FAQ
What is an AI chatter on Telegram?
An AI chatter on Telegram is software that answers a creator's fans in private chats from her own Telegram account, through a bot connected with Telegram Business. It writes in the creator's voice and each fan's language, sells locked media paid in Telegram Stars at the agency's prices and follows up with fans who go quiet.
Does an AI chatter need the creator's phone number or password?
No. The account connects with its @username and the token of a bot linked through Telegram's business connection. LanaChat never asks for a phone number, a password or a login code, and the creator can remove the bot from her Telegram settings.
Can the agency's team take over a conversation from the AI?
Yes, at any moment. A teammate takes over from the console's live inbox, the AI pauses for that fan, and the teammate hands the conversation back to the AI when done.
How much does AI chatting on Telegram cost?
With LanaChat, as of October 23, 2026: $19 per Telegram account per month, plus 12%, 10% or 8% of the net sales the AI makes, depending on the agency's monthly tier. Sales a teammate sends cost 4%, 3% or 2%. There is no seat price and no setup fee.
Does LanaChat work with OnlyFans?
